A minister for the Sri Lanka government was killed on Tuesday (8/1) was affected by the explosion of the street bomb that was blamed to rebels the Liberation of the Tamil Eelam Tiger (LTTE) and the incident was the first success of the murder of the senior official of the country for the last 19 months.
This bomb turned the car that carried Minister Pembangunan of the D.M. Dassanayake Nation when he carried out the trip through the region upside down Ja-Ela, approximately 20 km in north the Colombo capital, said the military spokesperson of brig. Udaya Nanayakkara.
The other man who was not yet known by his identity also was in the explosion killed, said Dharmawardena Guruge, a doctor in the hospital where Dassanayake was put.
"This minister experienced the serious wound and his condition was very serious when being brought here," said Guruge to the photojournalist The Associated Press.
Guruge said that the doctors immediately brought Dassanayake underwent the operation, but the minister blew out the last breath.
